Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about running Cardano claim campaigns.

What is Claimpaign?
Claimpaign is a platform for distributing Cardano native assets (ada, tokens, and NFTs) via QR codes and claim links. Organizations create campaigns, print QR codes, and recipients scan them to receive tokens directly in their wallet. No forms, no email lists, no manual transactions.
How much does it cost?
Each claim code has a service fee depending on the campaign type: 0.5 ada for ada-only, 0.8 ada for token, and 2.5 ada for NFT campaigns. There is also a one-time campaign creation fee of 10 ada. Credits for unclaimed codes are refunded when you end a campaign. See Pricing for the full breakdown.
What are campaign credits?
Campaign credits are prepaid funds used to cover the ada and service fees for each claim code. When you create a campaign, the total cost is deducted from your credit balance. If you end a campaign, credits for unclaimed codes are returned to your balance.
Which wallets are compatible?
Claimpaign works with any Cardano wallet that supports CIP-99 claim URIs. Our top picks are VESPR (best for testing and events) and Tokeo Pay (great for live mainnet events). Eternl is also fully supported. See Compatible Wallets for the full list and ratings.
What if someone has no wallet installed?
If you use the Wallet Fallback QR format, the claim page automatically detects when no wallet is available and shows a prompt to install VESPR with the right download link for iOS, Android, or desktop. The page is localized in 8 languages. After installing, they simply scan the QR code again.
What is the difference between Direct and Wallet Fallback QR codes?
Direct QR codes contain a web+cardano:// link that opens the wallet immediately. Wallet Fallback codes use a regular https:// link that tries to redirect to the wallet, and shows install instructions if none is found. Use Fallback for events with newcomers, Direct when you know recipients already have a wallet.
What is the difference between Sandbox and Production?
Sandbox uses Cardano's preprod test network where you can experiment without real funds. Production uses the mainnet with real ada. You can switch between networks in your dashboard. To enable production campaigns, complete your business details in Settings.
What happens when a campaign expires?
When a campaign reaches its expiration date, new claims are blocked. To receive a refund for unclaimed codes, end the campaign from the campaign detail page. Ending refunds remaining credits to your balance. Ended campaigns cannot be reactivated.
Can I use Claimpaign for events?
Absolutely. Claimpaign was built for live events. Print QR codes on badges, table stands, or flyers. Attendees scan with their phone and tokens arrive in seconds. Works for conferences, meetups, hackathons, and any gathering where you want to distribute tokens.
